Governor's Message September 2008 -

                                                              Dear Fellow Rotarians:
 

In the September issue of THE ROTARIAN, our International President, D.K. Lee challenged all of us to MAKE PLANS NOW to attend The Rotary International Convention in Birmingham, England in June 2009. If you have never attended a Rotary International Convention, I would strongly urge you to consider going to England. You will not want to miss this opportunity of a lifetime. For those of us who regularly attend, we all look forward to renewing old acquaintances and making new friends, as we all celebrate the good works done by Rotarians worldwide.

As you all know focusing on literacy is one of our major service projects this year. September 8th is International Literacy Day. While many of us support literacy projects year round, International Literacy Day provides an important opportunity for us to recognize the vital role literacy plays in our communities and the world. Thank you for all of your efforts to help those who can not read.
