Alan Walters has been a member of the Roary Club of Georgetown and has maintained perfect attendance since joining the club in 1993.  His classification is Judiciary and he is employed as a Magistrate for Georgetown County and Municipal Judge for the Town of Pawley's Island.  Alan served his club with distinction as President in 1999-2000.  He served as Assistant Governor for 3 years and has served in several capacities at the district level including the District Nominating Committee, the Long Range Planning Committee, RIDDE chairman, CART Fund, Area Dictionary Project Chair and as District Club Service Director.  In addition, Alan has been involved in numerous community, business and charitable organizations including his current service as Vice President of the Coastal Carolina Council, Boy Scouts of America and Magistrate Vice President of the SC Summary Court Judges Association.  Alan is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, Foundation Benefactor and 10 Star Rotarian.  He and his wife Susan Welch Walters have two sons, Bobby, 10 and Jason, 8.  They live in North Litchfield Beach in Pawley's Island.
